Using The Power Of Thy Tongue for Good
~2 Corinthians 13:1~1 “Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.”
~Galatians 5:22-23 ~“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”
~Philippians 4:6-7~ “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
~Colossians 3:14-15~ “But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.”
How many of *y’all know that when you worry, etc. that you give rights to the enemy to steal your joy? When you worry alot you become a weakling in God's Kingdom. When we pray to Jesus to take care of something we should pray about it and leave it with him. He knows our wants and needs before we even ask. One thing I that I’ve learned in this spiritual walk is that when we are happy and joyful, we are more powerful against the enemy’s attacks because he hates it. He wants us to be miserable, upset, and depressed, but more than anything else, he wants us to spread misery to others. Whenever you feel depressing, anxious thoughts or feelings swelling up in your belly, you need to stifle them with the Word of God. I don’t know about *y’all, but I've began to recognize when worry is about to rear its ugly head into my life, I begin to feel anxious, nervous, and emotional. But I am learning to rebuke those feelings and thoughts and think about Jesus, and the peace that he wants each of us to have. Please realize that this is not an overnight process, it will take some time, but if you stay focused on Jesus and his Word you will experience the everlasting peace that he promised us.

~Psalm 84: 11 ~ “For the Lord God is a Sun and Shield; the Lord bestows grace and favor and glory. No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.”
Ephesians 6:10 ~Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.~
Hello everyone I would like to wish a belated Happy New Year to all of *Y’all and thank you again for reading my blogs. As I was driving in to work today I was listening to a gospel song entitled ‘Victory’ by Yolanda Adams that had me singing at the top of my lungs (I’m not a singer, but you couldn’t tell me that I wasn’t Patti LaBelle this morning!). Well when I was singing the song I was really feeling the words of it “I've got, got the victory I've got the sweet, sweet victory in Jesus. Yes I do, He's our mighty conqueror. In him I will trust all my battles he'll fight. I've got, got the victory! I've got the sweet, sweet victory in Jesus. For me He died but He rose on the third day. That’s why I have true victory everyday!” The words of this song really spoke to me this morning, because even though I know we are mighty in Jesus’ name, it just seemed extra powerful this morning as if every time I sang it I was literally stomping on the enemies head! It truly felt good, because I have been dealing with several attacks lately, and I do recognize where they come from. But today while singing that song out loud, it reinforced what I already know “Jesus is more powerful than anything we go through so never lose your faith and never doubt because we already have the victory!”

1 Timothy 2:8 ~ “I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing.”~
Matthew 5:44 ~ “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you”~
How many of *y’all like giving gifts to others? I like to give to others, because I love to see people happy. I love seeing their faces light up when they open their gifts. But out of all of the gifts that I have given the most important one is giving the gift of prayer. Praying for others not only blesses the people you pray for, but also blesses you. The next time you are wondering around the mall thinking about what you can give to really make someone’s day, just pray to the Father on their behalf and watch the blessings begin to flow. This not only works for people that you like, but also for those that you don’t get along with. In fact you should even pray for your enemies, (trust me ,I know this is a hard one for many of us to do). For all you know, that person may be going through some difficult times and is more than likely suffering from some past hurt, and they just took their frustration out on you. So instead of keeping the hurt-people-hurt-other-people cycle going. Why not sow and reap blessings by praying and forgiving them? I don’t know about *y’all, but no matter how badly someone has hurt me, I don’t want to see anyone go to hell. Prayer is powerful and it definitely works, but it only works if done with sincerity, faith, and love.
