True Reflections

1 Corinthians 13~“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.”~

Matthew 6 1-3 ~ "Be careful not to do your 'acts of righteousness' before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”~

Hey *y’all , I hope this blog finds everyone in good spirits. I can hardly believe we are about to close out another year and usher in a new one! WOW! As this year ends I think we should all reflect on the things we accomplished for God’s Kingdom. Did you help others? Did you help clothe, and feed the hungry? Did you listen to someone who needed a caring ear? Did you treat others with dignity and respect? Did you spread God’s word to others? Did you pray for others? Did you use your God-given gifts to help others? And most importantly did you do all of these acts with love? Or did you do these things and use them as your own personal soap box to brag about what you did? If you did all of these things or more, that is great, please continue doing them, but if you didn’t, don’t worry about it, because each day we awaken is a new day to accomplish more things for him. No one is perfect and what’s wonderful is that we serve a true and living God who knows this and loves us anyway. I am truly thankful for his mercy and thankful to be living in the true light. I am also thankful to be a blessing to others, because I know it makes my Heavenly Father proud to call me his! As you reflect upon yourselves this season think about how you can be an even bigger blessing to others in 2010. I truly hope *y’all have a Merry Blessed Christmas, and I hope *y’all bring in the New Year with a renewed spirit to help spread Christ's undying love to others.

Can anyone out there relate?

Be Blessed *Y’all!
