True Reflections

1 Corinthians 13~“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.”~

Matthew 6 1-3 ~ "Be careful not to do your 'acts of righteousness' before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”~

Hey *y’all , I hope this blog finds everyone in good spirits. I can hardly believe we are about to close out another year and usher in a new one! WOW! As this year ends I think we should all reflect on the things we accomplished for God’s Kingdom. Did you help others? Did you help clothe, and feed the hungry? Did you listen to someone who needed a caring ear? Did you treat others with dignity and respect? Did you spread God’s word to others? Did you pray for others? Did you use your God-given gifts to help others? And most importantly did you do all of these acts with love? Or did you do these things and use them as your own personal soap box to brag about what you did? If you did all of these things or more, that is great, please continue doing them, but if you didn’t, don’t worry about it, because each day we awaken is a new day to accomplish more things for him. No one is perfect and what’s wonderful is that we serve a true and living God who knows this and loves us anyway. I am truly thankful for his mercy and thankful to be living in the true light. I am also thankful to be a blessing to others, because I know it makes my Heavenly Father proud to call me his! As you reflect upon yourselves this season think about how you can be an even bigger blessing to others in 2010. I truly hope *y’all have a Merry Blessed Christmas, and I hope *y’all bring in the New Year with a renewed spirit to help spread Christ's undying love to others.

Grow Stronger!

1 Peter 2:2 ~ “Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.”~
Ephesians 4:14~ “Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.”~
Luke 10:19~”I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.”~

Many of *y’all who have been reading this blog can probably see how I have grown over the years from a babe in Christ to now eating solid meat. In the beginning you can see where I was more emotionally led to write than spiritually. My flesh would like to go and change some of the old blogs to reflect who I am today, but the Holy Spirit told me to leave it alone. The reason why is because we all have growing stages we must go through. This is true for Christians too. No one comes to God and becomes a full-fledged adult Christian overnight, we all have to drink our milk, learn to crawl, take steps, stumble, walk, and then start running. We have to accomplish each one of these steps in order to make progress. But just like with anything else we do in life, we have to build our endurance at each stage before we can proceed to the next level. I don’t know about *y’all but I want to grow up! I want to be a stronger soldier for God’s Kingdom! I want to go to battle to prove my loyalty to my Father! Each time the enemy comes at me with an attack I will stomp on his head and call him a liar! Aren’t you tired of weak Christians who are afraid to tell you where they stand in order to appease the world? Meanwhile the enemy is loudly stomping around proclaiming who he is? Jesus gave us power on this earth to move mountains, so why are many of y’all still moving pebbles? Grow up my fellow brothers and sisters so we can be more of a threat to the dark kingdom, let’s make the devil run from us, because he only has power if you give it to him. I don’t know about *y’all, but I’m not giving up my power. I love Jesus too much for that to happen.

Look At Yourself -First!

Matthew 7:3-5 ~ “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.”

The above scripture is one that I work on daily. How many of *y’all are too quick to point out your brothers’ or sister’s faults, but never seem to point the finger at yourselves? You should always look at yourself before you point out someone else’s faults. Looking at ourselves, and realizing we fall short keeps us humble and closer to God. When I am mentoring or talking to someone about something that they are going through, I make sure to use myself as an example to show them my shortcomings also. Trust me, when I say that you can win more people to CHRIST when you apply this mentality. No matter what you are going through, always make sure to look in the mirror at ‘you’ to see if you are the one walking in line with the Word especially before you try to correct someone else. I know this is easier said that than done, but you will help win more people to God’s Kingdom if you do this, and it will make your spiritual walk stronger which is something we should all be striving for.

The Jackpot!

Luke 16:13 ~ "No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.~"

Mat 6:19-21 ~ "Do not save riches for yourselves here on earth, where moths and rust destroy, and robbers break in and steal. Instead, save riches for yourselves in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and robbers cannot break in and steal. For your heart will always be where your riches are."

I am rich *y’all! I am not talking about financial or manmade riches. I am rich because I know Jesus, and all of my daily needs are met. I have my health, I am in my right mind, my children are healthy, happy, and the generational curses have been removed from them. I am rich because I know how to love and be loved by others. See the world would like you to believe that you are rich only if you have lots of money and things, but the reality is money can’t buy true peace, happiness, or love. Please don’t misunderstand, I am not saying that we can’t have nice things while here on this earth, only we should be very careful not to let the manmade things define or consume us because we can’t take them with us when we leave, but the riches that I own (love, peace, and happiness) are going with me when I do leave. The bottomeline is we should try to take care of and cherish the true riches we own now.

Don't Compare

1 Cor 15:10 ~"But by the grace of God I am what I am"~

Psalm 139:14 ~"I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well."~

Proverbs 14:30 ~ "A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones."~

How many of *y’all know that we should never compare ourselves to others. When we compare ourselves to others it can lead to envy, which opens the door to many other sins. For example, many people in the Bible hurt others because they compared themselves and became envious of others, (exhibit A ‘Cain and Abel’). Be happy with what you have accomplished instead of comparing yourself to someone else, if you must compare, compare where you used to be and where you are now. Think about how Jesus delivered you from that fast track to hell. Be thankful for your blessings and watch how much more he will bestow on you for being content with what he has already done for you. It’s okay to use someone’s success to motivate you to reach a goal, but stop measuring yourself by worldly standards, because *’y’all know satan is the master of ‘the world’ and his primary mission is to make you feel inadequate in his world. Ever since I became saved I have joy and peace in my life that I never experienced before. I am content with what God has given me and I don’t sit around thinking about what I don’t have. Bottom-line is when you have Jesus in your life you won’t sit around comparing yourself to others because you are fearfully and wonderfully made” in his eyes.

"You Plant 'Em…., "

Matthew 13:3-8~"Then he told them many things in parables, saying: "A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown."~

Matthew 10:14-15 ~"If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town. I tell you the truth, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town. ~"

How many of *y’all are frustrated with ministering to some people who just refuse to accept Jesus? I mean you literally want to pull out your hair and rock a bald head if the people would just accept God’s love. One thing that was revealed to me was that everyone is not going to be receptive to the Word. In fact some people may even resent you for having the nerve to “preach” to them. But you know what? you can’t get offended because some people have been hurt and beat down by the traumatics of life that they are not ready to listen to the Word yet. This does not mean that you should stay around and keep getting beat up by them, in fact Matthew 10:14-15 says to move on to someone who will be receptive to the message. You also need to realize that it takes some people time, just think about it- How long did it take you to receive God’s love? I’m sure it wasn’t an overnight success story, (there are probably a few people rocking bald heads because of you). Although sad, but unfortunately true some people will never accept the message, but the main thing that you can be assured of is that God’s Word does not return void. Everyone has a choice whether or not to accept or reject Jesus, by giving a non-believer the message, it is like planting a seed, and even though the ground may be hard, dry, and rocky in many places you should just keep on moving and cover as much ground as you can, plant as many seeds as you can, and you will eventually reap a harvest. Some harvests may be small or even void, and some may be plentiful, but whatever the outcome you should never give up and stop planting the seeds of God’s love.

Love Them Anyway

~Luke 6:32-36 ~ 32 "If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' love those who love them. 33And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' do that. 34And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' lend to 'sinners,' expecting to be repaid in full. 35But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. 36Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

Hello *y’all, thank you for continuing to read this blog. It is truly a way for me to use one of the gifts that God has given me to help get his message out to the world. I had to really meditate on the scripture (Luke 6:32-36) above because it is a difficult one to swallow. We all know that we should love at all times, but it is hard to love someone who doesn’t love you back. It is probably one of the most difficult tasks on this earth. Recently, I came under attack by someone I showed unconditional love to, this person, lied, cheated, and said some ugly things about me and my family when all I did was show love. Of course this hurt my feelings and a part of me wanted to lash out at this person, but I refrained and listened to Jesus. He told me to look at the scripture above. Isn't it a powerful scripture? This is one that I am striving to do well, because it is too easy to write someone off who hurts you or keeps hurting you. I’m not saying that you should have daily dealings with people who constantly hurt you, because I know it's hard to feed someone with a long handled spoon when they have bitten both your arms off. All I am saying is love them anyway and pray for them because they are living in darkness and can’t see themselves. Don’t hold anger or hatred towards them because this stifles your relationship with God. Please don’t block your blessings. Continue to love your neighbors and ask the Lord how you can be a blessing to someone daily. Don't give up your love walk. Remember to focus on building your treasures in heaven and not down here in this temporary world.

You Are What You Eat!

Deuteronomy 8:33~ "He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD."~

Galatians 5:22-23 ~ "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."~

How many of *y’all have heard the saying “You are what you eat?” Of course we all need to eat physical food to live, but what about feeding your spirit man? Do you watch what you eat? Do you scoff down hatred, anger, and malice for breakfast? Do you gorge yourself on unforgiveness, deceit, and gossip for lunch? Do you devour pride, arrogance, and selfishness for dinner? Do you snack on lies? If you can say yes to any of these then you have been feeding your spirit with rotten fruit. If you eat rotten fruit then you will produce rotten fruit, but if you nourish your spirit with the proper nutrients (The Word) it will grow, and you will produce good fruit for others to eat. We all need to include good fruit in our daily diets, because being a once a week good fruit eater, will still deprive your spirit. You have to be consistent to stay healthy, so make sure you eat quality foods at all times so that you will be healthy enough to stand up to the enemy’s attacks, because he likes to attack weak malnourished spirits the most. So to have a mega-strong spirit make sure you eat love, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. For some it make take time to eat all of these in one sitting, but as with anything you have to build your tolerance level up so that you don’t overwhelm and burn out your spirit. After awhile of eating these fruits it will be like second nature to you, and you will be strong enough to feed others.

Basic Needs

1 John 3:17 ~ “But whoso hath the world's goods, and beholdeth his brother in need, and shutteth up his compassion from him, how doth the love of God abide in him?”~

Have you ever been sitting in a meeting and couldn’t focus because you were hungry or in pain? I mean you couldn’t focus on the message or the messenger, because you were preoccupied with your short-term suffering. This made me think about how some people recruit others for the Kingdom. Some recruiters only focus on getting numbers for the Kingdom, but never take the time to really look at their recruits. Have you ever seen anyone trying to recruit someone for God’s Kingdom, but the person that they were trying to recruit was hungry, homeless, or dirty? When in reality the suffering person only wanted to get something in their belly, get a hot shower, or get some sort of shelter to reside in. Please don’t misunderstand me, there isn’t anything wrong with trying to recruit for the Kingdom, but we should first focus on meeting their basic needs so that they can then focus on Jesus’ message. In fact if you help meet their basic needs, they will probably be more prone to listen to your message about Jesus and how he changed your life. They may be more apt to join the Kingdom because they see that you are living for him because you helped alleviate their short-term sufferings. You will be more powerful to the Kingdom if you meet their basic needs before you try and help heal their spirits. Spiritual healing has several processes that begin with showing love and compassion to your brothers and sisters. No one ever said that the recruiter's job was easy, but won't it be worthwhile it to see all the people that you recruited in heaven one day?

Be a Peace Seeker

~2 Corinthians 13:1~1 “Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.”

~Galatians 5:22-23 ~“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”

~Philippians 4:6-7~ “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

~Colossians 3:14-15~ “But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.”

How many of *y’all know that when you worry, etc. that you give rights to the enemy to steal your joy? When you worry alot you become a weakling in God's Kingdom. When we pray to Jesus to take care of something we should pray about it and leave it with him. He knows our wants and needs before we even ask. One thing I that I’ve learned in this spiritual walk is that when we are happy and joyful, we are more powerful against the enemy’s attacks because he hates it. He wants us to be miserable, upset, and depressed, but more than anything else, he wants us to spread misery to others. Whenever you feel depressing, anxious thoughts or feelings swelling up in your belly, you need to stifle them with the Word of God. I don’t know about *y’all, but I've began to recognize when worry is about to rear its ugly head into my life, I begin to feel anxious, nervous, and emotional. But I am learning to rebuke those feelings and thoughts and think about Jesus, and the peace that he wants each of us to have. Please realize that this is not an overnight process, it will take some time, but if you stay focused on Jesus and his Word you will experience the everlasting peace that he promised us.

Heavenly Treasures

Matthew 6:19-21~"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.~"

How many of *y’all know that when you bless others that you also bless yourself and your family? I don’t know about *y’all but I feel great when I am able to help someone. I mean I literally feel sick with love! God wants us to always help others by sowing love. I think he smiles at us every time we help someone. When I talk about giving I’m not just talking about material possessions. You can say a word of encouragement to someone, give someone a compliment, or even smile at them. There are many different ways to sow love –just pick one. You would be surprised at how a simple act of kindness could mean the world to someone who is hurting. Unfortunately, there are many selfish people who only focus on storing man-made treasures, which they can’t take with them. Please don’t misunderstand me; I’m not saying that we are not supposed to have anything while we are here on earth; it’s just that this should not be our primary focus. We are supposed to help others especially when we see a brother or sister in need. Think about those times when you needed something and someone reached out a hand to you. It probably made you feel good to know that someone took the time to care for you. This year let’s make a vow to keep the giving/love cycle going so that we can reap our heavenly treasures.

Let It Shine!

Matthew 5:14-16 ~ "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."~

As we get ready to wrap up another year and bring in the new one I wanted to reflect on some of the events that happened in my life this year. Some things made me stronger, others made me more humble, and still others made me even more determined to help others see the light of God’s Kingdom. I learned how to truly walk the road of forgiveness instead of just talk it. I learned how to hold on to some things and to let others go because they were stifling my spiritual growth. I learned to let go of some hidden insecurities which caused me pain and frustration by giving them to God. I experienced several faith building experiences that had me and others shouting for unrelentless joy! I witnessed some people become new creatures because they accepted Jesus into their lives. I also learned to never write off anyone because you never know who God will use to fulfill his plans. (Remember God used many people in the Bible that had issues). I learned to have more patience with people, and finally I learned that true unconditional love can change even the hardest hearts. I am thankful that I learned so much this year and thankful that God used me to bless others. As 2009 rapidly approaches, I hope that the Lord continues to use me to be a light to others, and I pray that more people will accept him into their lives before it’s too late. Merry Christmas, and may God continue to bless *y’all!

Unconditional Love

1 John 4:16 ~"And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him."~

I love you.
I love you when the skies are blue
I love you when the skies are gray.
I love you when the sun comes us.
I love you when the sun goes down
I love you when money is low
I love you when money is high.
I love you when you are weak.
I love you when you are strong.
I love you when you feel ugly
I love you when you feel pretty.
I love you when you laugh
I love you when you cry
I love you when you fail.
I love you when you succeed.
I love you when you are lonely.
I love you when you forget about me
I love you when you remember me.

“The Show Must Go On!”

~Proverbs 22: 24~Make no friendships with a man given to anger, and with a wrathful man do not associate.

Proverbs 27: 6~ “Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but the kisses of an enemy are lavish and deceitful.

~Psalm 84: 11 ~ “For the Lord God is a Sun and Shield; the Lord bestows grace and favor and glory. No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.”

How many of *y’all have noticed that in your walk with God that there now seems to be more negative people surrounding you? It probably bothers you because some of the people spewing negativity are your friends or relatives. I read an email awhile back that said that everyone can’t be in your front row. At first I didn’t really understand the ramifications of that statement, but after I prayed for knowledge in this area God revealed it to me. Everyone can not be in your front row. There will be people that will have to sit in the back or unfortunately can’t even be at your show. This doesn’t mean that you don’t show these individuals unconditional love, but this means that as you grow higher spiritually there will be people who for whatever reason will not understand it, and they will hate on you or make you feel guilty for the blessings that God bestows on your life. Don’t feel guilty because God does show favor to his children, and what many of the haters don’t realize is that they are looking at the end result and not thinking about the footsteps it took for you to get to where you are today. I can only speak for myself, but it took a lot of discipline and a many of nights of falling down, before I was broken down into my lowest form so that Jesus could begin building me back up into the creature he wanted me to be. So to my sisters and brothers living in the light please don‘t get discouraged on your path with God, because there will always be some people who won’t be as joyful as you are when you make spiritual gains in the Kingdom. The unfortunate fact is you can not invite everyone to your show to be in the front row, because they will tear up your show and cause chaos and confusion. You should just continue to pray for these individuals, pray that they see the light and realize that God can do the same thing for them if they would only have faith in him.

Forgive YOU!

Psalm 51: 2 ~ "Wash me thoroughly [and repeatedly] from my iniquity and guilt and cleanse me and make me wholly pure from my sin!"

How many of *y’all have read where the scriptures tells us to forgive others that hurt us, etc.? How many of *y’all know that you also need to apply this really important step to yourself? You need to learn how to forgive yourselves as well as others. I have seen so many people holding on to issues that cause several addictions, health problems, and resentment. This is because they refuse to forgive themselves.
When we do things to hurt others we often times feel guilty, but when we hold on to this guilt it opens up the door to the enemy and his massive collection of lies. (Remember he thrives off of our misery and pain). One thing you need to realize is that the energy it takes to harbor anger, hatred, and resentment towards yourself is exhaustive. Every bit of energy you give to negative activities and dwelling on regrets, robs you of the energy you need to become the person God wants you to be. If you do not forgive yourself of past sins, it is a form of pride, because when we apply a different set of rules and a higher set of standards for ourselves over others -that is a source of pride. I would never name anyone by name in this blog, but I do know several people battling alcohol and drug addictions because they can’t forgive themselves even when the person(s) that they hurt has forgiven them, moved on with their lives, or in some cases even passed away.
Bottom line is we cannot change the past; we cannot restore lives to where they were before the event. However, we can make a difference in the lives of others. We can give back some of what we have taken away by finding a different place to invest our time and compassion. Forgive yourself and let the healing begin. How you ask? Easy! by giving it all to Jesus!

Wanted Dead or Alive!

Ephesians 6:10-18~10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.~

I’m a wanted woman *y’all, in fact I may be on this organizations ten most wanted list, and I’m not talking about the FBI, *y'all. I mean that I am wanted by the kingdom of darkness because I gave my life whole heartedly to Jesus Christ. Once I did that I became a target, and the enemy has been constantly shooting his many weapons of mass destruction right at me, but thankfully they have not been able to penetrate my full body armor (the word of God). Though I must be honest, there have been incidences where the enemy’s bullets of deceit have knocked me down, but still my bullet-proof armor remained intact. Those unfortunate times were because I believed the enemies lies and began doubting what God had promised me, but once I recovered I came back fully recharged with some ammo of my own (the word, faith, and love). You have to stay prayed up in this spiritual battle otherwise you will lose focus and began to believe the negativity that the enemy spews into your life. We have to be on guard at all times, watching what we say and do, because all the enemy needs is a door and most of the time, we open that door with the words that we speak and the actions that we do. One thing that I know is that the enemy may want me, but the truth of the matter is that I have already been bought and paid for by the blood of Jesus.

In God I Trust

Psalm 118:8-9 ~"It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.”~.

How many of *y’all have ever been let down by someone that you trusted? It probably hurt your feelings, and you probably lashed out at them. I too, have been hurt by man more times than I can count, but one thing that I have learned , and am still learning is that when we place all our trust in man, and they let us down, we are only setting ourselves up for emotional failure. You should place all your trust in God because he never lets us down, his word is true and he promised to take care of us. So instead of walking around with a huge chip on your shoulder because someone let you down, keep your head up and realize that man makes mistake, and it is not our place to condemn them, but to forgive them and to help restore them. I’m not saying you shouldn’t trust man at all; but our overall backup plan should be Jesus Christ. We all make mistakes, and we all fall short, but we can not walk around holding grudges because our feelings were hurt. True children of God, have eternal joy and never place conditional clauses on relationships. If you make it up in your mind to love and forgive unconditionally you wouldn’t be so hurt by the things that man does, you would realize that sometimes those situations are thrown at us to see what we are made of, to test us spiritually, and also for us to use those situations to help others make it through their trials. I don’t know about *y’all but I’m going to place my trust in the one who I know has my back.

"There Ain’t No Worries On Me!"

Matthew 6:25-27~"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life.~

How many of *y’all worry about a lot of things? How many of *y’all know that after we pray to the Lord about something that we are supposed to leave it in his hands? When we worry, it means we are trying to handle things ourselves. It also shows a lack of faith. I know it is easier said than done, but when we pray for Jesus to take care of something for us, we should leave it alone. For example, if you planted a seed and then dug it up afterwards to check on it, how would it grow? It can’t because you interfered with its growth. Stop worrying and being anxious all the time. When you give it to God -leave it with God, because he takes care of us. I must say that I have been guilty of worrying about some things myself, and while worrying I felt anxious and sick inside, because I was trying to handle things by myself. After I finally prayed about my situation and truly gave it to Jesus, he immediately gave me peace. If any of *y’all are stressing, about anything please give it to the one who can take care of it. Stop worrying! Stop making yourself sick! And most of all stop digging up the seeds you’ve planted so that they can grow!

Speak Life

Proverbs 18:21 ~Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. ~

How many of *y’all know someone that always has something negative to say? Everything that they say tends to be cutting and dark. How many of *y’all know that life and death are in the power of the tongue? That we can turn a situation around just by the words we say? Words are powerful- so powerful that when God said “Let there be light!” it immediately happened. Do you know that we have the same power to speak things into existence too? Jesus gave us the same power to speak things into existence. If you always say negative things and negative things tend to happen to you, you have no one to blame but yourself ,for listening and believing the constant negativity that the enemy has spoken into your life.
From now on I will choose to speak life into my life and into other people’s lives. Did you know that speaking life on someone can make their spirit man soar? Did you also know that speaking death on them can break their spirits too? As God’s children we have to speak life into others ,because that’s what Jesus teaches us. Instead of saying, ‘I can’t -say I can!” Instead of saying ‘the glass is half empty -say it’s filled to the top! Instead of saying all my relationships will fail, say all my relationships will prosper…." You have the power to choose your words so why not choose life-giving ones?

I’ve Fallen But I Can Get Back Up!

Psalm 23:3 ~He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

I would like to apologize for not posting anything in awhile *y’all, but I have been going through some things that I know will make me stronger for God’s kingdom. I know some of you are probably wondering what happened? Did she fall down? Has she backslid back into sin? I am no different than anyone else; I have issues in my life that test my faith daily. I have issues that probably pale in comparison to many. Well just like some off *y’all, I have accepted Jesus Christ wholeheartedly into my heart, and I have not given up, because he has not given up on me. I believe that we go through trials to make us stronger so that we can help others get through their problems. Sometimes when I look at some of the many crooked paths my life took in the past, I am absolutely amazed that I am still standing here, in my right mind. I am thankful for his everlasting grace and his mercy. I am thankful that he has not given up on me, because as some of y’all know humans are sometimes too quick to give up on each other, especially if they have been hurt (which is no excuse). I am thankful that he gives me the words to speak life into others, to help pick them up when others have constantly stepped on them, and most of all I am thankful that if and when (because I am human) I fall down, he is there to pick me back up and restore me so that I may help to restore others, by showing and attesting to them that yes, we may fall down, but he picks us back up if we believe. So instead of laying there crying “I’ve fallen and can’t get up!” -get your behind up and thank him for helping you get back up!”
