His Power

Philippians 2:9~ “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name~”

Acts 19: 14-16 ~“And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.”~

Philippians 2:10-11 ~“10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”~

1 Cor 1:18 ! "For the kingdom of God does not consist in words but in power."~

Hey *Y’all! Thank you for continuing to read and support this blog. I apologize for not posting anything for awhile. Today’s topic is about having Power in Jesus’ name!  How many of y’all know someone who says they are saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost, but when confronted with real demonic issues from the dark side – they tremble and flee, because they are not really equipped to handle it. How many of ya’ll know someone who says that demons flee when they enter a room, etc? But in reality the demons say the same thing about them that they said to the seven sons of Sceva – they recognized that the sons had no power and ended up whooping their behinds!
I have learned that on this spiritual journey that our hearts must be right at all times, and we have to live what we say, because the enemy knows when we have a door open. Evil spirits know who is in their Word, they recognize the Power of God and if you truly have His Power then they will recognize His Power in you! However, if you do not have any power it could be disastrous for you and those closest to you.  I believe there are three categories of those with power:

1.    Those who have absolutely no power but can quote scripture and preach you out your seats! They are satisfied with being praised by man and obtaining emotional gratifications.

2.    Those who started out having power, but because they didn’t stay grounded in their Word, they became contaminated like Superman who has come in contact with Kryptonite and lost all their power. This happens because they didn't stay connected to the source (Jesus).

3.    Those whose hearts are pure, stay in their word, fast,  and pray often;  so when they enter a place evil spirits recognize, tremble, and flee because they  know they are filled with God’s Holy Spirit which is the ultimate power. This is the power we all should strive to be filled with.

I would like to reiterate that this spiritual war is real, and if you go into any battle un-equipped you will get hurt out here! The enemy is playing for keeps, and he doesn't play fair (and yes he will eat his own!) Before you confront anything from the dark side you better make sure God is truly with you and that you have His Holy Spirit otherwise you are doomed to fail. Bottom-line is we have to ALWAYS be filled with the Holy Spirit -not just on certain occasions.

Can anyone out there relate?

Be Blessed *Y’all
