No Entertainment Tonight!

Mark 2:16-17 ~“When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees saw him eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they asked his disciples: “Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners? On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”~

Matt 10:7-8 ~"And as ye go, preach, saying, the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, and raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give."~

Matthew 15:7-8 ~ "You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:“‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.”~

Psalm 51:10 ~ "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”~

Hey *Y’all! I pray this message helps minister to someone out there today. Today’s topic is something that seems to be running rampant in society right now. It is the process of entertaining people who are spiritually sick, and others making them feel like they are okay when in actuality they are not. For instance, How many of *y’all know someone that is sweet one moment and then they have a mean nasty attitude the next? How many of *y’all know someone that quotes scriptures one minute and then are violently cursing/fighting the next? How many of *y’all know someone who quotes scriptures about Jesus on their social networking site(s) one day, but cursing and talking about ‘feeling their fury or wrath’ the next? Or know someone who says they have another side to them (alter ego) and some are even bold enough to even name them? How many of *’y’all know someone who says that they know Jesus but their actions say that they belong to the evil one?

Well if you know someone who is like this, you need to know that they may have demon(s) (evil spirits) residing in them, and they need prayer, prayer that helps deliver them, because they are really tormented souls who believe the enemy’s lies that they are not good enough or that they have gone too far in sin, etc. They believe that God doesn’t want them, and many are living their lives in shame. I’m here to tell you to please call on Jesus and ask him to save you! He loves you and wants all of you! The devil is a liar who wants you in hell with him. His end has already been determined, but he is a kamikaze soldier who wants to take as many people to hell with him. If you know someone who is suffering and wants help please pray for them and point them in the right direction, but please don’t entertain them! By entertaining I mean don’t act or pretend that they are sober minded. When we entertain them they won’t change and will probably become worse. Don’t flatter them and make them think that they are okay, because the truth is they are suffering. They need help. Always be real with them, but please do so in love. Don’t correct with the intentions of hurting or shaming them. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you when helping them.

Why am I speaking on this topic? Because I used to be someone that thought I was alright even though I had a mean and nasty spirit(s) and hurt many people, I was able to justify it in my mind because I was hurting, but thankfully a Child of God recognized and took time out to help me see the light, and finally I was able to see myself, and since I didn’t like what I saw I decided to give my life whole heartedly to Jesus. Now that I am living in the light, I want others to also experience this joy and peace that only Jesus Christ can deliver. Please keep in mind that this is not an overnight process, and all people do not want help –some like where they are and want to keep their demons, but for those who do want deliverance – Come! the Kingdom of God awaits you!

“You Are What You Eat!”

John 6:35 ~ “And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”~

Galatians 5:22-23 ~ “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”~

Luke 4:4 ~”And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.”~

Happy New Year *Y’all! I pray that this message blesses your spirit! This morning as I was running on the tread mill, I began to think about how so many of us put so much into making our physical bodies healthier and stronger. I mean some of us have the calories of the food we place in our mouths calculated down to the last crumb. Some of us take multi-vitamins, drink plenty of water, and lift umpteen pounds of weights to make our muscles stronger. So many people invest hours of time into developing their bodies.

How many of *y’all know that we have to do the same things for our Spirit man? That we have to also watch what we feed our spirits; for example, if you hang around someone who always talks about others you may be prone to talk about others too, if you hang around someone who curses all the time, then you may be prone to curse too, if you hang around someone who is always miserable then you will probably be miserable too. If all you ever consume are things that are about violence and vulgarity, then you probably participate in those types of mean- spirited activities too. I say all of this to let you know that we have to be just as careful about what we place in our spirits as we do our physical bodies. Yes, God wants us to take care of our physical bodies too, but just like with anything else without God a healthy body without a healthy spirit is a recipe for disaster.

How many of *y’all know someone that appears to have it all together on the outside, but on the inside they are rotten? It seems like everything that spews out of them is foul and putrid? How many of *y’all know someone who dines on the Word only on Sundays, but during the rest of the week they dine on drama? Well according to the Word of God, He wants us to bear good fruit at ALL times not when it’s convenient for us. He understands that we are not perfect, and that we will slip occasionally, but if you are calling yourself a Child of God and all you dine on is hate, anger, un-forgiveness, and malice, then you need to focus on changing your diet and pick up the menu (The Holy Bible) and feed your spirit with the proper nutrients, (fruits of the Spirit). In this daily spiritual battle God is not looking for sometimey, weak, and out of shape Christians. He wants strong, healthy, and powerful people who will run the distance, not someone who will give out of breath after a few miles.

If you are someone who is struggling in feeding your spirit with the proper ingredients, then try reading the Bible daily, fasting, praying, and try dining with other people who have the same diet as you. I don’t claim to have all the answers, but I do know that we are what we eat, and if you feed your spirit the proper things then you will pass the endurance test, and make it to the finish line to see our Heavenly Father (Jesus)!

Got Peace?

Isaiah 26: 12 ~”Lord, You will ordain peace (God's favor and blessings, both temporal and spiritual) for us, for You have also wrought in us and for us all our works.”~

Ephesians 6: 23 ~”Peace be to the brethren, and love joined with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ” ~

Matthew 5: 9 ~”Blessed are the makers and maintainers of peace, for they shall be called the sons of God!

Hey *Y’all! I pray that this message finds you in good spirits, and I pray that *y’all celebrate the true meaning of our Father Jesus Christ’s birth and not get caught up in the selfishness and commercialism that the author of confusion likes to keep going around this time of year to get you to lose focus. It’s been awhile since I wrote a message in this blog, but as I've stated in previous entries I want to be led by the Holy Spirit when I write because I want my words to help elevate God’s Kingdom and not myself. With that being said I want to talk about something we all have had to deal with in one form or another -Holding our peace. So many horrendous things are going on in this world today, mainly because people are refusing to hold their peace, society seems to be getting chaotic by the second, and those claiming to have peace in actuality have taken their peace and beaten others upside the heads with it!

Let me tell you something about the peace that I have found in Jesus! Peace has stopped me from cursing out that person who cut me off in traffic, Peace has stopped me from getting angry when someone is all up in my space cursing me to hell and back, Peace has kept me calm when I didn’t know where my next meal or job was coming from, Peace has kept me from snapping and giving my mind over to the enemy because he was egging me on to just ‘give up’, Peace has kept me from losing my cool about past hurts when the culprit(s) was sometimes standing right in front of me as though nothing ever happened. Peace (Jesus) has truly kept me!

I say all of this to let you know that we will ALL endure hard times, and we will ALL have our share of suffering while here on this earth, but if you throw your peace out the window every time the circumstances don’t line up with what you think or want to happen then you need to really evaluate your relationship with Christ. Who is He to you? Is He someone to call on only when you are in trouble? Well I’ll tell you what he means to me. He is my LOVE, my JOY, and my PEACE. When I look at my reflection in the mirror I see Him. My pain of past hurts, and heartaches no longer distort my view. I don’t know about *y’all but even though the world tends to follow in the footsteps of the chaotic one, I will continue to follow in the footsteps of the Ultimate Peace Maker!

Walk in Love.....

2 Corinthians 5:17 ~"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! ~"

Matthew 7:21-27 ~"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!"~

Matthew 12:33-35 ~"Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him~".

Hey *Y’all! I pray many blessings on everyone reading this today. Today’s topic is something that I feel is a big problem in God’s community. Recently, I went into an office to take care of some business and when I arrived there, there were two women in the office sitting at their desks, one of the ladies had several Bible based items skewed all over her cubicle, and she was loudly blasting Gospel music. The other lady didn’t have anything on her desk but it was neat and orderly as she quietly worked. As I sat there the phone rang and the other lady answered and then asked ‘Gospel lady’ if she could please turn her music down a little so she could hear the phone call. The ‘Gospel lady’ immediately got loud and said, “I am not turning the Lord’s music down!!! This place needs to hear the Lord! and I’m not going to let the devil tell me to turn my music down!! etc….etc …….. The lady on the phone just shook her head in frustration and tried to continue her phone conversation.

As I sat there observing the situation, I began to think about all of the people who call themselves Children of God, but their actions expose them as a child of the enemy. Instead of using their swords (Word) on the enemy they use it to carelessly slice up others; for instance, I have seen several instances where the ‘Christian’ would belittle, stomp, and fuss by using scriptures in a retaliatory way to get their point across… I have heard several angrily say “Favor isn’t fair! Or I am blessed and highly favored!!!” Okay. I’m not disputing any of those comments, because there isn’t anything wrong about knowing our place in the kingdom and knowing that we are powerful children of the most high, BUT you do not have to belittle and talk down to others. When you act like this you are siding with the devil and his kingdom.

Jesus didn’t walk around beating people over the head with his beliefs; he drew people with his kindness and love. This is one of the main reasons why the world looks at church people as being so hypocritical. I don’t know about *y’all, but I look at a person’s fruit…..if you claim you are saved and are living for Jesus, etc., then your fruit should reflect this. There should be a joy and peace about you that makes people want to be around you ,because they see God’ s light shining in you.

You have to understand that the world is watching us and waiting on us to slip up. Don’t give the enemy ammunition! When you became saved you should have become a new creature, putting aside old ways and striving to be like him in every way. For those of you battling bad attitudes, stubbornness, etc, Please stop the madness!!! and let Jesus Christ truly come into your heart and ask him to change you for the better in all things. Let’s show the world how to correctly walk in love.

A Growing Problem

Envy – ~“A feeling of discontent or covetousness with regard to another's advantages, success, possessions, etc.”~

1 Corinthians 13:4:4 ~"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.”~

James 3:16 ~"For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.”~

Hey *Y’all! I hope everyone is enjoying their 2010 Summer. Today’s topic is something that many of us have dealt with in some form or another - Envy, but the difference is that some of us know how to give those feelings to God, repent, and move on, but sadly many of us give in to this awful destructive spirit. I believe envy is truly the root of all evil; for example, in the Bible Cain killed his brother Able because he was jealous, Joseph's brothers sold him into slavery because of their envy of him, Saul tried to kill David because of his hatred and envy……… Do you see a pattern?

If envy is not properly dealt with at its root, it will grow into a nasty destructive vine that will consume everything it touches. I realize that we all sin and fall short of God’s glory, but if you are someone who is constantly comparing yourself to others and /or always trying to outdo someone else, then you may have an envy problem. You need to look at yourself and truly give it to God and let him deliver you. If you are constantly envious of others, you will not have peace in your life.

When you have a true relationship with Jesus Christ there is no room for envy because in order to know him you have to know love and love and envy cannot coincide. If you are envious you are basically saying you aren’t happy with what God has blessed you with. Please don’t misunderstand me, there isn’t anything wrong with being motivated to achieve certain goals that someone else has achieved, because we are supposed to use each other’s testimonies as motivation to advance God’s kingdom. But if you are constantly consumed by trying to outdo others, then you may have a deeper problem. Everyone’s walk is different and you don’t know what someone has truly gone through to get them where they are.

On this walk with Christ I have learned to be content with what he has blessed me with. I truly feel that what is for me -is FOR ME! I’m thankful for all my blessings in life because I remember where he brought me from. I know he is a merciful God! So instead of worrying about why you don’t have what someone else has, you should lift your hands up in praise and shout “Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus for blessing me! I am truly content with my portion!"

Wait On Him!

John 16:23 ~ “And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.”~

Psalm 37:34 ~“Wait on the Lord and keep His way, and He shall exalt thee to inherit the land.”~

Isaiah 40:31 ~“They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.”~

Hey *Y’all! Thank you for continuing to read what God places upon my heart. Recently, I’ve been thinking about what waiting on God really means to a true believer. How many of *y’all are waiting on God to do something for you? During your wait are you trusting and believing that He is going to come through for you? Or are you only looking at the physical and paying attention to what man says you can or cannot have? Many people “say” they are waiting on God, but when the physical doesn’t appear to line up with the spiritual, they start doubting what God has promised them. When we doubt what God has promised us, then we are siding with the enemy and instead believing his filthy lies. As a true believer of Jesus Christ who has had her share of trials here on this earth, I am here to tell you, that you have to always wait on God!

No matter what that woman or man says, no matter what that doctor says, no matter what that employer says, you should still wait on God! He always has the final say! God is not a liar and if he promised you something –he will deliver and he will deliver it in his timing! Don’t let the enemy make you doubt –he is a liar and a deceiver whose only mission is to destroy you and your relationship with Jesus! For the babes in Christ I pray that your Faith grows so that you too, can move mountains! You must realize that you are a Child of the Most High God! And you have Great Power on this earth! But you must always have Faith in Him. When faced with difficult situations, don’t doubt, stay focused, and always trust Jesus! If you are in a difficult situation, and you feel your beliefs begin to shake, pray for the strength to endure, and to persevere during those trying times so that you can reap your blessings. No matter the circumstance, always wait on God because his Word is true.

The Promise

John 3:16 ~ "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”~

Hebrews 9:27-28 ~”Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

John 3:3 ~”In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”~

Proverbs 16:25 ~"There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death."~

Hey *y'all! I hope this blog continues to be a blessing to you. I’ve always enjoyed writing, but writing for God’s Kingdom is so fulfilling, because if I can reach just one person then this blog is well worth it. A few weeks ago I was talking with someone, and the Holy Spirit prompted me to ask them, “Do you think you will go to heaven when you die?” and this person said, “I think it is presumptuous for anyone to know for sure whether or not they will go to heaven…..” Obviously, this person didn’t know about the promise so I corrected this person by telling them that the Word says that whoever believes in Jesus Christ and accepts him as their Lord and Savior will go to Heaven. It is God’s promise to all of us who accept his son Jesus who died for ALL of our SINS and rose again on the third day. He was the innocent lamb who was sacrificed for all of our sins. In order to receive this promise you must repent, have Faith, and make him Lord of your life.

After you are born-again you should strive to live a victorious Christian life. This doesn’t mean you won’t sin, but when you do you should repent and be convicted by the Holy Spirit so you won’t continue to fall into the same temptations. Once you accept Christ as your savior, you are indeed a new creature! Please know that this is not an overnight process, but a daily walk that doesn’t get easier, in fact as you grow-up spiritually, it will get harder, because once you confess Jesus as Lord of your life, the devil will come at you even harder, because he wants to kill you and send you to hell with him, (Hell is a horrible place where man is eternally separated from God -meaning no matter how much you cry out to God he won’t answer you because you had free will while here on Earth to choose Jesus before you died, but you refused- so there are no more choices for man in hell).

So my advice to *y’all is to Choose JESUS NOW, choose life now, choose to allow Jesus to transform your heart and spirit now, and choose to love at all times now. This world is becoming more and more unstable everyday, and hate seems to be the dominating factor because so many have chosen their own way instead of God’s way. Just take God at His word and claim His salvation by Faith. Believe, and you will be saved. No church, no lodge, no good works can save you! This is not a game, and it saddens me every time I hear of someone dying who did not choose Jesus. I often wonder if they were still living what they would say. Would they choose differently? I think they would indeed choose Jesus now if given another opportunity, but unfortunately they can’t do that, because they already made their horrifying eternal choice. Please don’t end up like them! Remember no matter what you have done Jesus still loves you, and He will take you back, but you have to call on him before it’s too late. Call on him NOW.

“Have No Fear!”

Proverbs 3:25-26 ~ “Do not be afraid of sudden terror or of the ruin of the wicked, when it comes, for the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught."~

2 Timothy 1:7 ~ "For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”~

Hebrews 13:6~“So we can confidently say,“The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?” ~

Luke 10:19 ~“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” ~

Hello! I hope that *y’all are blessed and are able to receive this message today. Today's topic is fear. Many of *y’all already know that fear is not of God ,but some of us still let it control us anyway. If you are living in constant fear of anything, you need to rebuke that feeling in the name of Jesus! How can you be fearful of anything here on this earth when you know that no matter what happens, you will go to Heaven to be with the Father and the Son? This doesn’t mean you should live wreck-less lives and not care about your lives here on this earth, but it does mean that you should live with your head held high and walk with the confidence that says “I am a child of God and No weapon formed against me shall prosper” (Isaiah 54:17) . There are many evil things going on in this world, and since we live in this world sometimes our lives will be affected by those evil things, -unfortunately we are not exempt, but the key is to never lose your faith, and to still love regardless whether or not they love you back.
You must understand that some people are hurting so badly on the inside and have been living foul and rotten for so long that it is normal for them to mistreat you, because they can’t see themselves. When they attack you -remember it’s not them, it’s the evil spirit(s) within them that is making them attack you. If you are strong in the Word, you should rebuke that Spirit to let it know that you see it, but that it can’t touch you because you are covered with the blood of Jesus! Please don’t allow fear to make you stoop down to the devils level, that’s what he wants you to do! I don’t know about *y’all, but the last thing I want to do is to please the author of confusion! I want to keep him under my feet! If fear is a strong hold that you are battling I pray that its grip is released from you today in the name of Jesus! And that you can confidently walk as a Child Of The Most High! and know that you have Power over the enemy because he already lost! Christ already took care of him for you!

Heart Check

Matther 12:34 ~“You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.~”

Proverbs 16:23 ~” A wise man's heart guides his mouth, and his lips promote instruction.”~

Luke 6:45 ~“The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.”~

Proverbs 4:23 ~ “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.”~

Psalm 19:14 ~”May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.~”

Matthew 12:36 ~”But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken.

Thank you for reading and I hope this blog continues to bless *y’all as it does me. Today’s topic is about one of my all time favorites - choosing our words wisely. Recently, I was speaking with someone who erroneously stated that “God knows our hearts, our mouths may say some bad things but it doesn’t mean anything because God knows our hearts….”. Well before I knew it I had said the Bible states that, “Out of the mouth the heart speaks.” Unfortunately, this person and a lot of other people are inaccurate in their thinking on this subject. Yes, God truly knows our hearts, and he knows that we will make mistakes and sometimes not say the right things at the right times, but we are also supposed to repent and try to get better and as Christians we should be showing steady progress in our walk in many ways. If you only speak negative and hurtful things then what does that say about your heart? If the only thing you give is rotten fruit then what does that say about you -the tree? I'm not trying to beat anyone up because "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of god,"Romans 3:23.

We just need to remember that whatever our mouth says good or bad -it was in our hearts. Let’s be careful with this, because our mouths can get us into a lot of trouble if we don’t guard it closely. For instance, how many of *y’all have ever said something quickly and then immediately regretted it? Or said some hurtful things out of anger? Well I will raise my hand on these, because this is something that God is constantly working on me about. Our mouths truly have the power to speak life or death, so please choose your words wisely. If you keep saying you aren’t going to make it then you won’t make it! if you keep saying that you’re sick then you will be sick! If you keep saying that you hate such and such…. " then your words will make sure that your situation doesn't ever change. I know we all have bad days where life seems to beat us up, but don’t make the situation worst by speaking death upon it. Always speak life, because it helps us defeat the enemy! Instead of saying “I can’t! -say I CAN! instead of saying I won’t! -say I WILL! Instead of saying I hate, -say I LOVE! And watch how your situation begins to change and your blessings begin to flow. If you are having issues in this department then pray to Jesus to help you get better, because he answers our prayers. Trust me when I tell you that I am a walking, living proof that he can help us control our tongues so that we can uplift and encourage others.

Praise Him Anyway!

~Psalm 30:5b “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”~

~Romans 1:12 “That is, that we be mutually strengthened and encouraged and comforted by each other's faith, both yours and mine.”~

~2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 “May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.”

Happy New year *Y’all! Thank you again for continuing to read this blog. I pray that it blesses each of you. The other day a good friend and I were talking about various things and trying to catch up with each other’s lives because we hadn’t talked in awhile. During the conversation she was telling me about a loved one who had become extremely ill, she said that while her loved one was in the hospital in ICU, she began to pray and she told God that she knew that He was in control of everything and that if her loved one lived she was going to praise Him and if her loved one died she was still going to praise Him. To make a long story short her loved one did survive and of course everyone was extremely joyful. During the conversation, the one thing that stood out to me was her undying faith during extreme adversity.

How many of *y’all can say that you will still praise God no matter what the circumstances? I mean despite, death, tragedy, sickness, etc. Will you still praise Jesus? I know a lot of people say “yes they would,” but when faced with dire situations their faith waivers. I’m here to tell you that no matter what happens, continue to praise God, it’s okay to mourn a tragic situation, it’s okay to be angry, etc. (confess your anger and move on) but it is not okay to blame yourself, or give up on God. I have seen some people lose their faith because they are depressed over tragic situations. When this happens I sometimes wonder if that person ever really had a true relationship with Jesus, because I believe the God I serve will take care of me no matter what, the God I serve is in control and the God I serve will heal my broken heart.

If you know someone that can’t seem to get over a tragic situation and has really lost their way please pray for them and plant seeds of love in their heart… “If they can’t seem to get over a tragedy, etc. and have fallen into a depressive state and have lost their faith then they are showing that they loved that person, etc. more than they love God (anything we place before God becomes our God). If this happens try to help them stay in the light so that they don’t disappear into the darkness. Remind them that everyone living on this earth will have their share of various tragedies but the key is not to lose hope because God loves us. You have to praise God even if nobody else understands your praise. In spite of what others think, you should praise him anyway!

True Reflections

1 Corinthians 13~“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.”~

Matthew 6 1-3 ~ "Be careful not to do your 'acts of righteousness' before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”~

Hey *y’all , I hope this blog finds everyone in good spirits. I can hardly believe we are about to close out another year and usher in a new one! WOW! As this year ends I think we should all reflect on the things we accomplished for God’s Kingdom. Did you help others? Did you help clothe, and feed the hungry? Did you listen to someone who needed a caring ear? Did you treat others with dignity and respect? Did you spread God’s word to others? Did you pray for others? Did you use your God-given gifts to help others? And most importantly did you do all of these acts with love? Or did you do these things and use them as your own personal soap box to brag about what you did? If you did all of these things or more, that is great, please continue doing them, but if you didn’t, don’t worry about it, because each day we awaken is a new day to accomplish more things for him. No one is perfect and what’s wonderful is that we serve a true and living God who knows this and loves us anyway. I am truly thankful for his mercy and thankful to be living in the true light. I am also thankful to be a blessing to others, because I know it makes my Heavenly Father proud to call me his! As you reflect upon yourselves this season think about how you can be an even bigger blessing to others in 2010. I truly hope *y’all have a Merry Blessed Christmas, and I hope *y’all bring in the New Year with a renewed spirit to help spread Christ's undying love to others.

Grow Stronger!

1 Peter 2:2 ~ “Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.”~
Ephesians 4:14~ “Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.”~
Luke 10:19~”I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.”~

Many of *y’all who have been reading this blog can probably see how I have grown over the years from a babe in Christ to now eating solid meat. In the beginning you can see where I was more emotionally led to write than spiritually. My flesh would like to go and change some of the old blogs to reflect who I am today, but the Holy Spirit told me to leave it alone. The reason why is because we all have growing stages we must go through. This is true for Christians too. No one comes to God and becomes a full-fledged adult Christian overnight, we all have to drink our milk, learn to crawl, take steps, stumble, walk, and then start running. We have to accomplish each one of these steps in order to make progress. But just like with anything else we do in life, we have to build our endurance at each stage before we can proceed to the next level. I don’t know about *y’all but I want to grow up! I want to be a stronger soldier for God’s Kingdom! I want to go to battle to prove my loyalty to my Father! Each time the enemy comes at me with an attack I will stomp on his head and call him a liar! Aren’t you tired of weak Christians who are afraid to tell you where they stand in order to appease the world? Meanwhile the enemy is loudly stomping around proclaiming who he is? Jesus gave us power on this earth to move mountains, so why are many of y’all still moving pebbles? Grow up my fellow brothers and sisters so we can be more of a threat to the dark kingdom, let’s make the devil run from us, because he only has power if you give it to him. I don’t know about *y’all, but I’m not giving up my power. I love Jesus too much for that to happen.

Look At Yourself -First!

Matthew 7:3-5 ~ “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.”

The above scripture is one that I work on daily. How many of *y’all are too quick to point out your brothers’ or sister’s faults, but never seem to point the finger at yourselves? You should always look at yourself before you point out someone else’s faults. Looking at ourselves, and realizing we fall short keeps us humble and closer to God. When I am mentoring or talking to someone about something that they are going through, I make sure to use myself as an example to show them my shortcomings also. Trust me, when I say that you can win more people to CHRIST when you apply this mentality. No matter what you are going through, always make sure to look in the mirror at ‘you’ to see if you are the one walking in line with the Word especially before you try to correct someone else. I know this is easier said that than done, but you will help win more people to God’s Kingdom if you do this, and it will make your spiritual walk stronger which is something we should all be striving for.

The Jackpot!

Luke 16:13 ~ "No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.~"

Mat 6:19-21 ~ "Do not save riches for yourselves here on earth, where moths and rust destroy, and robbers break in and steal. Instead, save riches for yourselves in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and robbers cannot break in and steal. For your heart will always be where your riches are."

I am rich *y’all! I am not talking about financial or manmade riches. I am rich because I know Jesus, and all of my daily needs are met. I have my health, I am in my right mind, my children are healthy, happy, and the generational curses have been removed from them. I am rich because I know how to love and be loved by others. See the world would like you to believe that you are rich only if you have lots of money and things, but the reality is money can’t buy true peace, happiness, or love. Please don’t misunderstand, I am not saying that we can’t have nice things while here on this earth, only we should be very careful not to let the manmade things define or consume us because we can’t take them with us when we leave, but the riches that I own (love, peace, and happiness) are going with me when I do leave. The bottomeline is we should try to take care of and cherish the true riches we own now.

Don't Compare

1 Cor 15:10 ~"But by the grace of God I am what I am"~

Psalm 139:14 ~"I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well."~

Proverbs 14:30 ~ "A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones."~

How many of *y’all know that we should never compare ourselves to others. When we compare ourselves to others it can lead to envy, which opens the door to many other sins. For example, many people in the Bible hurt others because they compared themselves and became envious of others, (exhibit A ‘Cain and Abel’). Be happy with what you have accomplished instead of comparing yourself to someone else, if you must compare, compare where you used to be and where you are now. Think about how Jesus delivered you from that fast track to hell. Be thankful for your blessings and watch how much more he will bestow on you for being content with what he has already done for you. It’s okay to use someone’s success to motivate you to reach a goal, but stop measuring yourself by worldly standards, because *’y’all know satan is the master of ‘the world’ and his primary mission is to make you feel inadequate in his world. Ever since I became saved I have joy and peace in my life that I never experienced before. I am content with what God has given me and I don’t sit around thinking about what I don’t have. Bottom-line is when you have Jesus in your life you won’t sit around comparing yourself to others because you are fearfully and wonderfully made” in his eyes.

"You Plant 'Em…., "

Matthew 13:3-8~"Then he told them many things in parables, saying: "A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown."~

Matthew 10:14-15 ~"If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town. I tell you the truth, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town. ~"

How many of *y’all are frustrated with ministering to some people who just refuse to accept Jesus? I mean you literally want to pull out your hair and rock a bald head if the people would just accept God’s love. One thing that was revealed to me was that everyone is not going to be receptive to the Word. In fact some people may even resent you for having the nerve to “preach” to them. But you know what? you can’t get offended because some people have been hurt and beat down by the traumatics of life that they are not ready to listen to the Word yet. This does not mean that you should stay around and keep getting beat up by them, in fact Matthew 10:14-15 says to move on to someone who will be receptive to the message. You also need to realize that it takes some people time, just think about it- How long did it take you to receive God’s love? I’m sure it wasn’t an overnight success story, (there are probably a few people rocking bald heads because of you). Although sad, but unfortunately true some people will never accept the message, but the main thing that you can be assured of is that God’s Word does not return void. Everyone has a choice whether or not to accept or reject Jesus, by giving a non-believer the message, it is like planting a seed, and even though the ground may be hard, dry, and rocky in many places you should just keep on moving and cover as much ground as you can, plant as many seeds as you can, and you will eventually reap a harvest. Some harvests may be small or even void, and some may be plentiful, but whatever the outcome you should never give up and stop planting the seeds of God’s love.

Love Them Anyway

~Luke 6:32-36 ~ 32 "If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' love those who love them. 33And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' do that. 34And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' lend to 'sinners,' expecting to be repaid in full. 35But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. 36Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

Hello *y’all, thank you for continuing to read this blog. It is truly a way for me to use one of the gifts that God has given me to help get his message out to the world. I had to really meditate on the scripture (Luke 6:32-36) above because it is a difficult one to swallow. We all know that we should love at all times, but it is hard to love someone who doesn’t love you back. It is probably one of the most difficult tasks on this earth. Recently, I came under attack by someone I showed unconditional love to, this person, lied, cheated, and said some ugly things about me and my family when all I did was show love. Of course this hurt my feelings and a part of me wanted to lash out at this person, but I refrained and listened to Jesus. He told me to look at the scripture above. Isn't it a powerful scripture? This is one that I am striving to do well, because it is too easy to write someone off who hurts you or keeps hurting you. I’m not saying that you should have daily dealings with people who constantly hurt you, because I know it's hard to feed someone with a long handled spoon when they have bitten both your arms off. All I am saying is love them anyway and pray for them because they are living in darkness and can’t see themselves. Don’t hold anger or hatred towards them because this stifles your relationship with God. Please don’t block your blessings. Continue to love your neighbors and ask the Lord how you can be a blessing to someone daily. Don't give up your love walk. Remember to focus on building your treasures in heaven and not down here in this temporary world.

You Are What You Eat!

Deuteronomy 8:33~ "He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD."~

Galatians 5:22-23 ~ "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."~

How many of *y’all have heard the saying “You are what you eat?” Of course we all need to eat physical food to live, but what about feeding your spirit man? Do you watch what you eat? Do you scoff down hatred, anger, and malice for breakfast? Do you gorge yourself on unforgiveness, deceit, and gossip for lunch? Do you devour pride, arrogance, and selfishness for dinner? Do you snack on lies? If you can say yes to any of these then you have been feeding your spirit with rotten fruit. If you eat rotten fruit then you will produce rotten fruit, but if you nourish your spirit with the proper nutrients (The Word) it will grow, and you will produce good fruit for others to eat. We all need to include good fruit in our daily diets, because being a once a week good fruit eater, will still deprive your spirit. You have to be consistent to stay healthy, so make sure you eat quality foods at all times so that you will be healthy enough to stand up to the enemy’s attacks, because he likes to attack weak malnourished spirits the most. So to have a mega-strong spirit make sure you eat love, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. For some it make take time to eat all of these in one sitting, but as with anything you have to build your tolerance level up so that you don’t overwhelm and burn out your spirit. After awhile of eating these fruits it will be like second nature to you, and you will be strong enough to feed others.

Basic Needs

1 John 3:17 ~ “But whoso hath the world's goods, and beholdeth his brother in need, and shutteth up his compassion from him, how doth the love of God abide in him?”~

Have you ever been sitting in a meeting and couldn’t focus because you were hungry or in pain? I mean you couldn’t focus on the message or the messenger, because you were preoccupied with your short-term suffering. This made me think about how some people recruit others for the Kingdom. Some recruiters only focus on getting numbers for the Kingdom, but never take the time to really look at their recruits. Have you ever seen anyone trying to recruit someone for God’s Kingdom, but the person that they were trying to recruit was hungry, homeless, or dirty? When in reality the suffering person only wanted to get something in their belly, get a hot shower, or get some sort of shelter to reside in. Please don’t misunderstand me, there isn’t anything wrong with trying to recruit for the Kingdom, but we should first focus on meeting their basic needs so that they can then focus on Jesus’ message. In fact if you help meet their basic needs, they will probably be more prone to listen to your message about Jesus and how he changed your life. They may be more apt to join the Kingdom because they see that you are living for him because you helped alleviate their short-term sufferings. You will be more powerful to the Kingdom if you meet their basic needs before you try and help heal their spirits. Spiritual healing has several processes that begin with showing love and compassion to your brothers and sisters. No one ever said that the recruiter's job was easy, but won't it be worthwhile it to see all the people that you recruited in heaven one day?

Be a Peace Seeker

~2 Corinthians 13:1~1 “Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.”

~Galatians 5:22-23 ~“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”

~Philippians 4:6-7~ “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

~Colossians 3:14-15~ “But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.”

How many of *y’all know that when you worry, etc. that you give rights to the enemy to steal your joy? When you worry alot you become a weakling in God's Kingdom. When we pray to Jesus to take care of something we should pray about it and leave it with him. He knows our wants and needs before we even ask. One thing I that I’ve learned in this spiritual walk is that when we are happy and joyful, we are more powerful against the enemy’s attacks because he hates it. He wants us to be miserable, upset, and depressed, but more than anything else, he wants us to spread misery to others. Whenever you feel depressing, anxious thoughts or feelings swelling up in your belly, you need to stifle them with the Word of God. I don’t know about *y’all, but I've began to recognize when worry is about to rear its ugly head into my life, I begin to feel anxious, nervous, and emotional. But I am learning to rebuke those feelings and thoughts and think about Jesus, and the peace that he wants each of us to have. Please realize that this is not an overnight process, it will take some time, but if you stay focused on Jesus and his Word you will experience the everlasting peace that he promised us.
